Start-Finish: Lac Montriond
Start Time: 8.00
Swim: 1 x 750m lap in Lac Montriond. The start of the event will have separate start lines for men and women. Wetsuits will be optional.
Bike: 2 x 10km laps. On completely closed roads, the 20km course with 450m of climbing leaves the lake, turning right out of transition to the first turn around point at Ardent. U-turn to come back to Montriond for the second turning point and return to the lake signifies the end of the first lap. Continue past transition to complete a second lap. On completion of the second lap return to transition.
Run: 1 x 5km lap of the lake in an anticlockwise direction.
Entries: Entries are available online and the event is limited to 130 individual entries and 20 teams. Participants must be 16 years or older in 2018.
Registration & Number collection: Saturday 1 September 2018. Com up to Les Linderets Village for lunch, register between 12.30 and 15.30. Participants will require photo ID to complete registration.
Event Briefing: 7.45 at the swim start on Sunday 2/8
Transition Area: Open to competitors only on Sunday 2/8 at 6.30 and closes at 7.30. The collection of bikes after the event will be at the discretion of the race organisers.
Time Keeping: There is no official timing keeping for the pilot event.
Fuel Stations: There will be a drink station half way on the run course.

Time Keeping: The TriStars event is fun based and everyone that finishes is considered a winner. No times are recorded and each participant receives a medal when they cross the finish line. We encourage caregivers to be positive and supportive to all participants.
Road Closures (please read athletes and supporters):
The D228, Route de Montriond from Montriond to Ardent will be completely closed to traffic from 7.45. Access to the race via this road will be impossible by car after this time.
You can still access Lake Montriond via the side Route du Dravachet and parking will be available at the lake prior to 7.45am. We are expecting to open roads again at 10am. Thank you for your understanding and ensuring that you make arrangements for getting to the event on time.
