Morzine is situated at 1000m and is in the mountains therefore the weather can be changeable. Generally, the weather throughout the summer is warm and pleasant, however, recommend bringing layers of clothing from cycling and running. Swimming will be at the pool or in the lake. Also make sure you pack a hat and sunscreen. See the swimming, cycling and running checklists for details lists of suggested kit.
Your hosts are experienced, qualified and certified triathletes and coaches. They will meet you on your arrival and help you to settle in. They will give you plenty of information about the training schedule so you can be prepared and know what lies ahead. When out training they will encourage and assist you to have the best experience possible.
*Males must have tight shorts/bathers for swimming at the pool.
*We have a small supply of pull buoys but you may like to bring your own.
*We have a good supply of track pumps so there is no need to bring one with you.
*You may like to bring a race suit and running shoes with stretchy laces for transitions and brick sessions.

Sports nutrition products are designed to make it quick and easy for you to have the right fuel. There are products for use before exercise (to allow you to perform at your maximal ability you need to get to the start line fully fuelled and properly hydrated), during exercise (you must replenish your energy stores and top up on fluids during exercise in order to achieve your personal goals) and after exercise (the right approach to recovery will help you to properly adapt to your training and to achieve maximal results)
Travelling with a Bike
If travelling with your bike, make sure to check with the airline about weight and size restrictions. Be sure to take care when you pack it so it is protected when being handled.
All clients must have a comprehensive and valid multi sports insurance policy in place when they arrive and during their stay with Buzz.
It is a condition of our holidays that you are covered by a medical and personal accident insurance policy that includes repatriation to your home country and includes cover for triathlon & road cycling.
If participating in an event during your stay in France, it is a requirement to have either a valid race license or a medical certificate (pdf template) (docx template) stating you are fit and able to participate in the type of event.
Massage & Physio
You can relieve aching muscles with a sports massage or if a niggling injury is hampering your performance, a physiotherapy session can be arranged.
The team at Mountain Rehab are on hand in their treatment rooms in Morzine, or can come to see you at to the chalet.

All training programs are designed to cater for an individual’s past experience, current fitness, available time and future goals.
Over the past 10 years the Portes du Soleil area has become the benchmark for mountain bikers throughout the world and Morzine and Les Gets are right in the heart of the action. There are 650km of marked trails, 10 permanent downhill trails, 4 bike parks and 24 ski lifts open to mountain bikers. Morzine & Les Gets’ lifts run from mid June till mid September while the full Portes Du Soleil network of lifts open with the Passportes event at the end of June and run till the last weekend in August.
With fast flowing rivers and great rapids Morzine is a perfect place for rafting. We will organise your rafting adventure at a local rafting centre. Equipped with wetsuit and helmet you will be off for an exhilarating ride down the rapids and jumps off rocks and capsizing for those up for it.
A wet adventure down the Nyon canyon is one of Morzine’s most exhilarating activities. It starts with a 20m abseil from a bridge under the watchful eye of your mountain guide. You will then make your way down the canyon, jumping, abseiling, swimming and sliding down natural slides in the rock.
Challenge yourself at either of the 2 high ropes courses in Morzine or at the Adventure Park in Les Gets. Harnessed up and wearing other safety equipment you will be all set to tackle the high ropes courses in the trees.
There are many climbing areas around Morzine and new routes are being developed all the time. There are options for all levels and we will help choose the best one for you.
Cruise along the Lake on a paddle board or canoe, hired from the local club.

The beautiful water of Lake Montriond is 1500m long and 50m wide and surrounded by mountains. Take one of the canoes out onto the lake and paddle the perimeter or straight down the middle. Also enjoy a splash in the water and relaxing on the grass afterwards.
Saddle up and explore Morzine from horseback. There are many horse riding paths and lake side trails to enjoy. Your guide will take you on a round trip from Morzine’s Parc des Dereches.
A tandem paraglide is an amazing way to view the Morzine area. Your guide will take care of all the technical aspects while you enjoy the view. Smooth and relaxing, sail from the top of the mountains back down into town.
Golf in the French Alps can not only offer you breathtaking mountain views, charming villages and lovely valleys, it can also offer some very impressive courses.
The superb par 70 Les Gets Golf Course positioned on the Chavannes ridge offers a 18 hole round of golf with exceptional views. The course climbs from 1300m to 1600m, but the electric buggies make it a breeze.
Morzine/Avoriaz Golf Course designed by Hugues Lambert sits on the edge of pine forest and offers exceptional views of the Aravis mountain range. Located at the entrance to Avoriaz its unusual location makes it one of the most scenic courses in Europe.
