We love the Summer! Cycling up, down and around the mountains is such a great way to build strength and stamina, while being able to enjoy gorgeous scenery along the way.

We have already been lucky enough to be getting out on our road bikes, starting with a few rides from the Hive up to Avoriaz at the end of winter. Now that the sun is shining (in May) we are re-aquainting ourselves with our local routes of the Col d’Encrenaz, Col de Joux Verte and of course the Col de Joux Plane. It is not always possible to cross these mountain passes so early in the season but it’s been a warm Spring and the snow has disappeared.

We have lots of cycling options for like minded cycling enthusiasts over the summer.

Our weekly club rides leave from the Hive on Saturdays at 8.00.  We ride a different route each week ranging from approximately 2 to 4 hours. All levels are welcome and the Buzz Community are a very friendly bunch. Everyone rides their own pace on the climbs and we regroup at different points along the way. A major drawcard is the post ride coffee at Wildbeets!

Our coached rides focus on improving cycling skills as well as fitness. Climbing, descending, gear-selction, stopping and starting, nutrition, hydration, pacing are some of the many topics covered over a series of sessions.

We continue to run our studio based sessions over the summer. Why? Riding a stationary bike is a great way to do interval training without the worry of traffic and road conditions interupting the session. Join us for a spin class in our studio in Morzine, or our online turbo sessions can be joined from anywhere in the world.

Our bike guides and coaches are available throughout the summer for half, full and mutli-day rides. They can help you explore the local area or further afield.

Our cycling coaches can work with you 1on1 to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence on your bike. If you are training for an event we can create a personalised training program and guide you to help you get where you want to be.

Whether you need to be fitted on your bike, change a flat tyre or tune the gears, our bike mechanic can help you. With a service center based at the Hive, all your needs can be taken care of.

If you don’t have your own bike we also offer bike hire. Our fleet of Pearson road bikes are perfect for riding on the mountain roads and are available by the day or week.

Whether you are a local or a visitor to Morzine, we would love to have you join us for some cycling this summer. For more information and any questions please email info@buzzperformance.com, we hope to see you soon!

Why cycle indoors?

Indoor cycling in the Alps is not a common thing. But in the bike crazy town of Morzine, it is no surprise that cycling classes with us are so popular. In particular over the winter months, when the roads are (hopefully!) snowy, and locals spend their time nurturing their winter…
