Russ Price

Hi I’m Russ. I am originally from the UK. I spent many seasons working in Paris, St Tropez , Bordeaux and Flaine and then decided to move to Morzine. I’ve been living in this area now for over 25 years and am settled here with my French wife and kids.

Having worked in many different sectors of the tourist industry I created the Cavern Bar in 2000. It’s a lively bar in the centre of Morzine which I continue to manage.

I am a keen road cyclist and have competed in a number of sportives across the Alpes including the extremely challenging Tour du Mont Blanc, it was lots of climbing in one day!

I decided to take my love of cycling a little further and have now completed the BPJEPS in activités du Cyclisme to become a fully qualified bike guide and MTB instructor. My claims to fame include being able to pick up a tennis ball from the ground and bunny hop over a series of obstacles.

I ride all sorts of bikes; a road bike, gravel bike, mountain bike and I quite like getting out on an e-bike too. I am passionate about finding great cycling routes, including the famous col in our area and discovering hidden gems too. I love to cycle and soak in the amazing views of the mountains.
